I called United Waterproofing to get an estimate on what it would cost to finally finish my basement. The quote I was given was significantly less that what other companies in the area were asking for. The crew was always courteous and professional. They showed up on time and they cleaned up after they were done with the work. I now have increased the square footage of my home as well as the value! Thank you United Waterproofing for doing such an excellent job!Sam T.

How does Interior Waterproofing Work?
Basement Water Entry The soil surrounding your basement can be seeped with water, especially after a rainstorm or recent flooding event. As the water moves through the soil it presses up against the outside of your basement walls and floor. As the water pressure in the soil builds (the hydrostatic pressure), the water begins to make its way through tiny cracks in the cement, entering the basement. The water entering can result in mold growth and more serious circumstances, direct water damage.
Interior Drainage Canal & Sump Pump In some circumstances, rather than fighting the water from seeping through the basement foundation wall, it is better to allow it to enter and then to funnel the water safely out and away from the basement. To accomplish this, an interior drainage system is inserted along the perimeter of your basement, below the cement surface.
Sump Pump and Water Exit The drainage canal collects any entering water, funneling it to a sump pump. The sump pump collects the water, pumping it out of the basement down a drainage pipe to a safe distance away from your home. Any entering water is removed and your basement stays dry and safe.
Do I Need Basement Waterproofing?
You probably already know that you are dealing with a basement water issue. But, be aware of more subtle tell-tale signs. Odd smells in the basement may be an indication of mold growth that you cannot see. The mold may be growing on the back of the walls where you don’t see it. This is a water and moisture problem in the basement. We provide additional services including mold remediation for the basement.
Mold Remediation & Mitigation If your home has already suffered mold damage, we can clean and remove the mold, fixing the damaged areas.
Exterior Basement Waterproofing Some projects may require exterior basement waterproofing on the foundation.
Foundation Repair Water damage may be a sign of structural issues with your home’s foundation. We can inspect the foundation and if serious cracks or shifting has taken place, we can correct the problem.
