United Waterproofing

The Permanent Solution to Your Water Problems

At United Waterproofing, we believe in delivering the highest quality work to protect your home from water damage once and for all. Our United Signature Waterproofing System is a step-by-step engineered process designed to eliminate water intrusion, protect your foundation, and provide you with peace of mind for life.

Unlike temporary fixes or low-cost patch jobs, our comprehensive waterproofing system is built to last and designed to solve the root cause of water issues—not just cover them up.

The United Signature Step-by-Step Waterproofing Process

Our process is designed to completely redirect water away from your foundation, keeping your basement dry in any weather. Here’s how we do it:

Step 1: Dust Control & Site Protection

Before we begin, we set up plastic protection barriers to ensure your home stays clean and free from dust throughout the entire process.

Step 2: Preparing the Basement Floor

We remove an 18-inch-wide strip of concrete along the foundation walls to expose the foundation footing and underlying soil.

Step 3: Excavation Along the Foundation Wall

We excavate a trench down to the foundation footing, clearing away compacted dirt or gravel that has been collecting water over time.

Step 4: Debris Removal

All excavated material and broken concrete is carefully removed in manageable 5-gallon buckets to minimize disruption to your home.

Step 5: Creating a High-Performance Gravel Base

We install a layer of clean gravel to establish a downward slope, directing water away from your home’s foundation.

Step 6: Installing the Perforated Drainage System

A 4-inch perforated drainage pipe is placed along the perimeter of the foundation to capture and channel any water seepage.

Step 7: Adding Additional Gravel for Maximum Drainage

Another layer of clean gravel is added on top of the piping, allowing for unrestricted water flow into the system.

Step 8: Installing the Sump Pit – The Heart of the System

A high-capacity sump pit (18 inches in diameter and 2 feet deep) is installed, ensuring all collected water is efficiently removed.

Step 9: Installing the Sump Pump

A high-efficiency sump pump is placed inside the pit to automatically remove water from your home.
Upgrade options available for battery backup systems to keep your basement dry—even in a power outage!

Step 10: The United Signature Drainage Board System

Advanced drainage boards are installed along the trench and foundation walls to prevent pooling and wall seepage.

Step 11: Sealing & Repairing the Concrete Floor

The trench is sealed with new, high-strength concrete, using a bonding agent and vapor barrier for a watertight finish.

Step 12: Custom Discharge Piping – Getting Water Away from Your Home

We install custom-tailored discharge piping that suits your home’s layout, ensuring water is expelled far from your foundation.
Includes a “Frost Freeze” relief valve for year-round performance.

Step 13: Final Cleanup – Leaving Your Home Better Than Before

Your basement is broom swept and spotless when we finish.
We provide dumpster service to remove all debris, leaving your home as clean as it was before we started.
